Introduction
Ningbo Liwan New Materials Co., Ltd., a key petrochemical enterprise under Hong Kong Liwan Group, is located in the Ningbo Daxie Development Zone—a national-level economic and technological development area—and operates a 50,000-ton码头. The company produces 700,000 tons of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) annually. PTA is one of the primary raw materials for polyester production, widely used in chemical fibers, films, packaging materials, and other applications. In 2016, the company achieved break-even through multiple technological upgrades and management measures, followed by post-tax profits of RMB 100 million in both 2017 and 2018. This stability has secured employment for its staff and contributed to social steadiness.
